building company sees value in warner fencing
Building company Mike Greer Homes is starting to see the benefit of finishing off its spec homes with Warner fences.
It recently completed two blocks of townhouses in the two-year-old Linden Grove subdivision in Christchurch's Hillmorton, where it also has quite a number of further units in the pipeline.
Warner Canterbury two years ago constructed close to two kilometres of amenity fencing in the Linden Grove development, on the site of what was Christchurch’s Sunnyside Hospital.
The hospital was downsized into what is now known as Hillmorton Hospital and a surplus of 22 hectares was bought by Ngai Tahu for the housing development of around 200 sections.
Mike Greer Homes opted to match the fencing around its new townhouses with the Warner fence already in place.
The company's general manager Richie McFerran said the Warner product sat well with Mike Greer Homes' vision that states its aim as: "To construct quality homes to exacting standards that our clients can describe as 'uniquely their own', which not only meet their needs but are as unique and distinctive as themselves."
He said Warner has provided specialist fencing to a number of Mike Greer Home projects: "We are impressed by the quality of both the product and the service provided, and would recommend them based on that experience."
This connection has led to business in the North Island as well. Peter Ferguson, Warner franchisee in Wellington received a call from the company out of the blue to install fencing and gates at a pre-school development in Waiwetu in the Hutt Valley.
This saw Peter installing a total of four Warner fences and four gates; he also organised the materials for four further timber fences required by the pre-school. Peter welcomed the new business and says he’s already had a call from one of the pre-school's parents!
